Warhol in the Park.case studyExpanding Palm Springs Art Museum’s brand awareness throughout the Coachella Valley, while supporting the arts & education focus of a key museum exhibitor and donor, created the opportunity to do something big and bold in, and for, the Greater Palm Springs community.
The branded “Warhol in the Park” spring event series was created to run in conjunction with the Jordan D. Schnitzer Foundation’s exhibition “Warhol: Prints” on display at the Palm Springs Art Museum’s main campus. The four-city, interactive event series introduced Warhol to elementary school children across the Valley. Working in partnership with the three Coachella Valley school districts, kids were invited to attend a free tutorial on the pop art icon and view his most notable pieces. Attendees were then provided oversized coloring books where they were encouraged to create their own interpretations of Warhol’s work. In addition, the families of each attendee received free admission to the Schnitzer Foundation’s exhibit at the museum. I co-created the overall program concept. I led all public relations efforts including media relations, community relations and school district partnerships. I wrote and produced all press releases and PSAs. I was part of the on-site leadership team for all event set up, event supervision, event breakdown. I joined in sponsorship solicitation and all partnership management. |
